BOOTCAMP GENERAL BREAKDOWN
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN ?
1. HOUDINI FUNDAMENTALS
In this first module, we will explain how the VFX industry and a studio work, giving you a general overview. We will familiarize ourselves with the Houdini software interface and learn the basic fundamentals (ABC) to be able to handle it with ease.
2. GROOMING
In this block, we will become professional digital hairstylists to create hair from scratch for our characters or creatures. We will create hairstyles (grooms) for animals, creatures, monsters, realistic characters, and cartoons. Later, in the next block, we will proceed to simulate our designs.
3. FUR
With the help of special tools and techniques, we will simulate realistic hairstyles, styles, and textures so they look great in our animations or 3D images. It’s like bringing our models to life with an incredible touch of digital fur!
4. FEATHERS
With specialized tools and techniques, we will design and simulate realistic feather systems that enhance our animations or 3D models. It’s like giving our creations life with the perfect touch of dynamic plumage!
5. CLOTH, SOFT BODIES & MUSCLES
Cloth and soft body simulation in VFX is about making clothes and flexible objects move realistically in animation, using a kind of “virtual physics.” This way, we can make characters look like they’re wearing clothes that fold, stretch, and move realistically on screen!
6. FINAL PROJECT
Friend, get ready for the “final challenge”! After mastering all the skills in the CFX universe, the culminating moment arrives: the final extra project for your demo reel. It’s like the last level of an epic video game, but here you are the hero.
